It's been two years since @SonySantaMonica 's God of War came out. It's a visually stunning game. I spent a couple of weeks there, pics added.

But while this game was a smashing success. During its making, the team behind it wasn't sure...
There's a great behind the scenes documentary about it called Raising Kratos.

The creator @corybarlog says something which stuck with me @ 49:51
"Anything that anybody could say on the internet is still tame compared to what goes on inside here. *points at his head*"

It's astonishing just how hard creators are on themselves sometimes. The internet can be a bad, scary, critical place but your head can be scarier.
I've known people who, in the face of such crippling self-criticism, either lock up and go through periods of immense mental anguish to get things done. Unfortunately, most perfectionists think like this
A version of this is the Imposter Syndrome where you don't think you deserve your success.

This gets worse the more successful/higher up you go.
The author of The Charisma Myth, Olivia Fox says:

"Every year the incoming class of Stanford GSB is asked, how many of you in here feel that you are the one mistake the admissions committee made?

Every year two-thirds of the students immediately raise their hands."
So the original researchers estimated that Imposter Syndrome hits about seventy to eighty percent of the population.
I don't have a solution to this but just being conscious and knowing that many suffer from this should help you in countering some of this.
