the “federation” is nominally egalitarian (but there are odd unspoken racial dynamics, like everyone is white despite being from buenos aires). It’s also aggressively heterosexual—but gender-equal. it lacks most of the at-home elements of fascism bc it’s really about liberalism

actually as a critique/parody of star trek it’s pretty effective
