1/ An update on the Brazilian situation regarding #COVID-19
The number of new cases has reached a plateau. And that is how it feels in some cities, like São Paulo, for ex: new cases keep showing up at the Hospital but in a maintained rate it´s been weeks.

3/ Many epidemiologists
are trying to understand the phenomenon of reopening (since last month) especially in Rio and Sao Paulo, w/o having an explosion in the n. of cases:
- would the excess of cases still come, but later?
- Bc of pop. immunity?
- The wheater?

regions are in the same situation. The south and center-west of Brazil are going through a hard time NOW.

5/ About the hypothesis that warm and humid weather could contribute to a milder COVID19 scenario:

Counterfactuallly speaking, that means that things could have been (much) worse around here?

6/ That reminds me of a famous Brazilian song from the 80´s (Fernanda Abreu) talking about how HOT, from many perspectives, Rio can get!
"Rio, 40oC"
