Here I am in downtown a Portland at City Hall, where as you can see uncontrolled mobs of antifa radicals are swarming...or that the city has turned the benson bubbler water fountains back on. Either way it’s chaos!
Last time I came to Portland City Hall at the height of the George Floyd protests, there were barricades in front of the building. There are none tonight.
After driving around town for an hour looking for any signs of swelling chaos, I finally found the center of the Portland protest.

This...is what Trump sent in federal agents for.
I came to the Portland protest at the justice center looking for mobs of anarchists.

I got dad jokes.
I asked this gentleman if I could take a picture of the t-shirts he’s selling at the Portland protest, and offered to send it to him. He joked “I don’t usually give out my number the first time” but then let me text him the photo anyway :)
The woman holding this sign resembled a typical white suburban mom. She said she was glad journalists came to show the world that it’s not the chaos people think it is here in Portland.
Someone rode a local @BIKETOWNpdx bike to the Portland protest, and someone else abandoned their sign
On a street corner adjacent to the Portland protest, volunteers are giving away clothing, hot food, snacks, PPE, and pretty much anything you’d find at a Walgreens
Absolute anarchy in Portland!
Riot ribs takes donations via cashapp to pay for the free hot meals it makes downtown to feed not just protesters but also homeless people in the area
Graffiti on the statue in fenced-off Chapman square refers to Portland’s mayor as “Warcrime Wheeler” and says “Fuck feds get out”
Near the food table, a warning sign showing some of the alleged vehicles that federal agents used to snatch people off the streets. Please note I have no way to verify this and am only documenting.
Some of the graffiti that covers the courthouse in downtown Portland is funny, some is sincere, and some appears to document incidents of police aggression.
As the sun sets, some folks at the Portland protest decide to remove the fence around Chapman square, using what looks like small Leatherman tools
The fence is nearly dismantled
A medic vehicle that appears to be a former ambulance has arrived and is preparing to treat any potential injuries that could occur at the Portland protest
And that’s my cue to leave, in case things do ramp up after dark. Hope this thread has been helpful! Stay safe out there, Portland.
