I could feel the tension through the zoom. 
And this girl did not care. She was like, “nope. My turn to teach today!”

She said, and I quote “when a President uses terms like animals, aliens, and infestation, to describe immigrants, it is hard to see how any church could stay silent” I said

She recited a 25 page thesis BY MEMORY (classical education so that’s the requirement) while the entire committee had to have their mics MUTED, then sat back and said

They did have questions! Kept it to mainly focusing on her sources and free speech. I asked why she believed Christians were less likely than secular society to recognize racism
Her family got on (one member appeared to be black) and actually cried saying how grateful they are

She said at the end, “I’m going to be a political science major at American University in DC this fall and I believe the best way to fight white supremacy is through governmental policy change. I will fight for governmental policies that are ANTI-racist” I applauded.
