Product explanation when writing copy

# A thread you shouldn’t miss.

Product explanation is the next element of the copy I’ll be tweeting about.
I'm sure you're asking;

Why is this neccessary?

After all, the copy is meant to contain some form of detailed product description.

Truth is,

There are a few things I would be pointing out that you probably haven’t paid attention to.
To begin, your copy is written with the intent of making your reader know about a particular product.

Before you can convince your reader to make the decision you want,

You need to be able to prove the product serves to benefit them.
Doing this requires that you gather enough specific knowledge about the product.

You also need to describe the product using simple language.
This means that you need to do away with technical jargon or you run the risk of killing the reader’s interest.

This much has been established by my last thread.

That said, there’s a simple rule of thumb to follow when writing your copy.
This guideline is used by top-selling copywriters.

It has contributed to the sale of thousands of products.

The rule of thumb is this:

Explain a complicated product in a very simple way.

Likewise, explain a simple product in a very complex way.
This rule is used by companies to advertise their products.

A classic example of this is seen in adverts made by a new toothpaste brand.

They most times will deviate from the usual norm.

You can keep an eye out for this on your own time.
For TV commercials, this trick is meant to get your attention to the new advertising concept.

In copy, the trick is to make the product, something the consumer is already familiar with Sound a little more complicated than they already know.
This is because if you take liberties with their present knowledge of the product,

Chances are they wouldn’t even read the ad;

But if the product has a new upgrade that other models don’t have,

Your copy becomes irresistable.
