A good thread is like a waterfall.

It flows effortlessly.

I've seen my 🔥🔥🔥 BEST GROWTH 🔥🔥🔥

From writing threads

Like, 60 followers in a day jump from the thread alone

I don't feel like writing a thread today,

So I'm going to write a thread today on writing threads.
As a disclaimer:

This is not EVERYTHING I know about writing threads

That information dump will come later

Possibly in a course?

Who knows.

For now, the goal is to transform your threads from

Just filling space on the timeline

To COMMANDING ATTENTION and ENGAGEMENT
RULE 1:

NEVER deviate from your thread's original purpose

Start with the end in mind, or with a strong hook...

...Then reflect.

Either through stream of consciousness, or an outline.

What message are you trying to impress upon the reader?

You CANNOT switch up mid thread.
See, us humans are weird

We like when our attention is held by something

But we rarely like to give it away

The point of a proper thread

Is to keep people continually HOOKED throughout it

To the point where they don't even realize it's ended
The issue is, if you switch subjects mid thread

You've hit on two FATAL FLAWS:

- Your thread is no longer focused
- The reader will catch onto that, and lose focus themselves
RULE 2: IMAGERY IS KING

I'm gonna be honest with you

For the most part, I don't like gifs and emojis on Twitter.

But I've learned one thing

They are HUGE in communicating intention and imagery

And in the modern day world

Knowing when to use

(NOT SPAM)

them is crucial
One of the secrets behind @MiIIenniaIMoney's success

Is his ability to find a gif that fits almost any situation

They're impressionable, funny when done right, and memorable

Twitter is a platform based on the merit of connecting

WITH IDEAS

Memes, emoji, and gifs do this well
RULE 3: SUCCINCT STORYTELLING

I'm sorry to break the truth to you

But everyone in the digital era is BUSY

Even scrolling Twitter is being "busy"

DO NOT hold their attention longer than you need

To communicate your ideas
In fact,

Respecting their time by writing succinct, strong threads

Will make them likely, to come back for MORE

It's literally my entire gimmick!

(Notice how short this tweet is, by the way.)

(It'll be relevant to you deep into the future.)
Now, the truth is

Everyone writes threads differently

But I've been told that my strategies work

I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek on how I do it,

Because I likely will end up giving more away.

Either through another meta thread like this,

Or a masterclass on how to do it.
