A Thread on who is "Statistically" the best RB defensively, offensively and overall in the EPL.

The RB's I chose to compare are Trent, AWB, Azpilicueta, Pereira, James, and Walker.

I could've picked Doherty but hes plays as a RWB/RM, so it isnt the best comparison.
So how I am going to do this is compare their defensive and offensive stats.

Theres a total of 18 categories.

I will rank all 6 players from best to worst in each category.

They will get a certain number of points depending where they finish.
This is the points system:

1st place = 5pts
2nd place = 4pts
3rd place = 3pts
4th place = 2pts
5th place = 1pts
6th place = 0pts

I will sum up the points for the defensive categories, offensive categories and overall.
For each category I'll rank them and also show their stats on a chart. Their stats are per 90mins.

I added up all the points and this is the ranking of the best "attacking" RB:

🥈Trent = 29pts
🥉Azpilicueta = 24pts

4th) Pereira = 19pts
5th) AWB = 15pts
6th) Walker = 13pts
Overall adding up the points from all 18 categories this is the ranking of the "best" RB in the EPL right now:

🥇Azpilicueta = 58pts
🥈James = 55pts
🥉AWB = 47pts

4th) Ricardo = 44pts
5th) Trent = 40pts
6th) Walker = 28pts

Statistically Azpilicueta is the best RB in the EPL.
Of course stats aren't everything and there are parts of defending that stats can't show.

But just looking at it Azpilicueta and James have had a very underappreciated season and are doing very well both going forward and defensively.
