How some Disney villains could have very easily accomplished their evil goals without screwing up while not diverting too far from the movie plots: a thread
1. Ursula turns Ariel into a human and Ariel goes to find Eric. Then Ursula uses her shapeshifting powers to turn into Ariel, infiltrate Triton's castle, steal the trident, and win. Boom.
2. Scar works to win Simba's loyalty--becomes the cool indulgent uncle. Kills Mufasa. Simba is too young, Scar rules as Regent. Simba as a figurehead keeps the lionesses loyal. Before Simba comes of age, Scar arranges an "accident." Simba dies. Scar wins. The end.
3. Jafar hypnotizes Jasmine instead of the Sultan. Jasmine (hypnotized) marries Jafar. Sultan has ""accident"" and Jafar is then sultan
4. Gaston realizes that although Belle is beautiful she is poor and her father is a big ol' weirdo. Marries for money instead, becoming even more influential in the village
5. Judge Frollo does nothing. Seriously. All he has to do is nothing and things would've kept on keeping on. He only ends up dead because he decided to do something about Esmeralda. All he had to do was nothing
6. Hades changes the wording of his deal with Hercules, promising he himself, Hades, would not hurt Megara--not that Meg wouldn't get hurt period. Then the deal is broken and Hercules doesn't regain his strength
7. Dr. Facilier I suppose wants money? I mean that's his original plan? He only bartered w/the spirits when his original plan fell through. So like.....honestly there are a hundred thousand ways he could've gotten money without involving himself with Naveen
8. COVID-19 convinces Disney parks to open while the pandemic is still ongoing. Cases spread. Success.
