Our greedy educators are behind students for fee and no one is talking:

1⃣ SC has rejected plea of students asking waivers
2⃣ UGC has only asked universities to not insist on taking fee immediately, but haven't issued any strict guideline
3⃣ Issue is missing from the media
Decisive actions are required from UGC, education boards, and governments.

Here is why:

1⃣ many people have faced job loss during pandemic
2⃣ To ensure online education, some families are forced to invest in new devices
3⃣ College operating costs are down -
- no day-to-day operations, no labs to maintain, no physical exams, some have even let go off operational workforce

so, it doesn't make sense to take full fee from the financially suffering students for doing less than half of the usual work.
Many of these are private colleges/schools/universities so, here is what needs to happen.

Government bodies need to step in and decide the new fee structure.

Remove all the components that were required when schools functioned offline and ensure that new structure is followed.
Talk to students, ensure that students suffering financially, get proper aid to be ready for online education.

Find out a way/a new "dedicated" portal, through which students can easily register their complaint for such issues and get resolution online.
and lastly, (because i have very low hopes) - dear media, start talking about the REAL issues that ACTUALLY make a difference in common people's lives.
