Lots of *really loud* keyboard warriors out there that are jonesin’ for youth sports in St. Louis County.

I have two kids that love to play soccer, baseball, and basketball in MRH Youth Sports. Their safety is more important to me than any activity.

This is an easy call.
Are the optics or politics of shutting down youth sports bad? Only if you’re looking for an axe to grind. It looks responsible to everyone else.

Aren’t we still following guidelines around group gatherings? Social distancing? How can youth sports safely operate?
I coached kindergarten soccer when my daughter was playing. There were kids who were picking grass instead of playing. I can’t imagine trying to keep those kids in masks!

The parents were all gathered on the sidelines in chairs and on blankets at practices and games.
