On 23.7.19 local communities sent written objections to the notice to GPCB. The ToR issued to the company clearly mentioned need for PC with on-site PH and written responses. There was no reply from GPCB. Instead, the company responded to the objections (2/7)

Special Civil App no. 15322 of 2019 was filed with the HC of Gujarat against this PC notice and hearing was scheduled on 26.2.2020. Meanwhile,EC application, filed without the PH process, for expansion of refinery was also listed on 26.2.20 to be heard by EAC(3/7) @Anand_Yagnik
The EAC pointed out that the PC process was not carried out as per EIA Notification 2006. They directed the company to conduct the PC properly and revise the EIA/EMP before returning the proposal (4/7)

2nd PH notice published on 26.3.2020,3 days after national COVID lockdown scheduling the PH on 1.5.2020 for Dist-Jamnagar & Dwarka. Objections were sent to GPCB demanding cancellation of the PH in light of COVID lockdown. The PH was postponed till further notice (5/7)

NOW on 26.6.20 GPCB published 3rd notice scheduling PH on 28.7.20 in violation of MHA Unlock-1 Guidelines which prohibits all gatherings except marriage & cremations and directs states to not dilute the guidelines in any manner (6/7) @jayashreenandi
