now that i’m finally done grading for AT LEAST two weeks i am going to teach myself to make torchon lace.
i can’t imagine that this will be akin to yesterday’s lamentation about not immediately being excellent at something, bc i already make other kinds of bobbin lace, but WE SHALL SEE.
okay we’re getting there!!! we’re figuring things out!!! i misread the edge pattern for like three rows but it’s okay it can be intermittently bulky! we’re not in kansas* anymore! (*basic woven bobbin edge laces)
one day i’ll be consistent in edges. not today tho. not today.
if case you’re wondering yes i AM mildly annoyed that this needs to relax on pins for a day before i can take it off and start a new project (and also by that tiny mistake at the very end that i didn’t catch till after i tied it off)
