Diana Arce: "You can't say 'Black lives matter' and then let people drown in the Mediterranean"
Anna Yeboah and Diana Arce talk about the problematic term "Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund," how it is symptomatic for the challenges in talking about POC in Germany. You would not talk about a white person with "Migrationshintergrund"
F. Angelo Camufingo: it's so difficult to get people to examine their views and where knowledge comes from. Whiteness is part of the curriculum and it's a closed cycle. Who do we read? Who do we cite? Who do we work with? What knowledge do we acknowledge?
What can we do beyond protest & attend talks? Angelo Camufingo: use your voice, use your privilege. Call out co-workers, family, friends. Share your knowledge. Lead them into the work. Donate. Write letters to represenatives. Vote. Change your curricula. The least you can do.
