Telehealth tweetstorm. Long $TDOC

Telehealth is the future of healthcare. It’s going to change healthcare in ways we can’t predict, but it’s not going away.

In major metros, telehealth is a convenience. Now that people understand how convenient it is, we’re not going back.
Telehealth is vital for rural hospitals. Rural area are increasingly underserved.

As rural hospitals continue to shut down, patients sometimes are forced to drive for hours for appointments.
Telehealth allows patients to see their doctor from their own home, or even a specialist from a distance (in another doctors office).

Major hospitals are already allowing telehealth appointments, forcing competition with local hospitals.
But telehealth has become vital for every hospital’s survival.

I don’t know if $TDOC will win telehealth. But until there’s a better option or $TDOC breaks, I’ll stay very long and buy on weakness.
Full disclosure: I’m a writer, not a doctor. But I’ve done a lot of marketing work in the healthcare space.

This is my assessment of telehealth based on my research and experience.
