yall be talking about "Black-led organisations" as if a black executive director or a black board of directors means black leadership when the whole damn corporation is dependent upon grants from white imperialists. that is a bad analysis

#npic #nonprofitindustrialcomplex
if leadership in a political sense is guidance, direction, and/or instruction, then since these organisations operate within the constraints of their funders the super rich foundations are the actual leaders because they will stop paying the orgs if they don't like what they do.
these rich fucks also provide indirect leadership because even if they don't straight up tell orgs exactly what to do the organisations make decisions with the possible threat of the loss of financial support in mind. they will police themselves, making direct orders unnecessary.
this self-policing extends into formations that aren't even nonprofits/NGOs/501c3s because:

- "independent" groups often rely on such orgs for money, meeting space, & other material resources
- employees of the #npic are often major/influential figures in activist communities
- and perhaps worst of all bc it can be hard to figure out people's intentions and there isn't always a paper trail like there is with corporate entities, many groups that aren't nonprofits are led or taken over by people who use the organising street credit to boost their career
that could mean turning the collective into a nonprofit at some point, using their "radical" credentials to get a nonprofit job or board position, running for elected office (which will involve gaining support of nonprofits & #npic affiliates), or sabotaging a perceived threat to
established nonprofits (or the activist establishment more generally) by taking over a previously independent group and neutralizing it, either by coopting its members, destroying their organising efforts, or likely a little of both in what amounts to "good cop bad cop" type shit
it is EXTREMELY important for black liberation that ppl realize the abolitionist movement is a #nonprofitindustrialcomplex controlled movement. observe the most influential abolitionists & their institutional affiliations, then reexamine their actions considering the above. #npic
take notes, take names, & if possible/expedient try to find ways to share your discoveries & questions with others outside your usual circles because #npic orgs and the scenes they operate in tend to chew niggas up, spit us out, then effectively cover it up to attract new victims
1 last thing...this kind of analysis can be applied on a global scale as well.

a nation can have a majority-black government, but if it depends economically on the goodwill of imperialism, then its "leadership" will police the population even before imperialists tell them to...
