Her debut #Gangster! Lovely locales, lovely ambience, lovely songs “bheegi bheegi” “ya Ali” lovely triangle of Shiney Kangana n Emraan! I just LOVED Shiney Ahuja’s character! #KanganaRanaut ws th focal point of whole movie n storyline; n deservedly won Filmfare Best Debut Award
Her 2nd movie #WohLamhe! Loosely based on Parveen Babi n Mahesh Bhatt real life love story! She played a psycho bipolar character to the T! Movie didn’t do that well; but every1 noticed what #KanganaRanaut ws capable of! Kangana's nuances in acting wr disconcertingly realistic
Then came her 1st National Award fr #Fashion!Length of the role was lesser than even th 3rd lead Mugdha! But what an impact she made as a substance abusing supermodel! She did an exquisite metamorphosis from a high-strung, nervous child to a stunning ramp diva." #KanganaRanaut
#KanganaRanaut did a small but important role in #LifeInAMetro! Her curls were gone n we saw how pretty she can look in straight hair! Her character was sleeping wt her boss n was roommate to boss’ wife’s sister! But not once I felt tht she was a vamp or negative character!
Then came #RaazTheMysteryContinues where #KanganaRanaut played a possessed woman! She n Emraan had such amazing raw chemistry n “Maahi” was such a favorite song of me fr years! She played a possessed woman n a wronged woman wt elan! She ws dating Adhyayan too at tht time
“Tum jo aaye” n “pee loon” the chartbusters of #KanganaRanaut’s next wt Ajay, Emraan n Prachi #OnceUponATimeInMumbai! She played the super star of yore being wooed by a gangster wt aplomb! Thr wr also rumours of her alleged affair wt Ajay at tht time!
Then came th movie tht changed my perception of her! In fact she rejected The Dirty Picture cos she didn’t wanna be typecast in psycho bipolar women roles! Wt #TanuWedsManu, #KanganaRanaut proved she can carry those chudidars n jhumkas wt as much ease as supermodel’s attires!
In #TanuWedsManu, #KanganaRanaut displayed brilliant comic timing, treated Madhavan’s character as doormat at times; but still you cant think negative of her character! Frm a carefree woman enjoying her teens to the fullest; to a woman hopelessly in love; she ws BRILLIANT!
#KanganaRanait ws adamant not to work wt Roshans after being sidelined in Kites! But she did #Krissh3 after much persuasion!She played a negative role wt weird hairdos; the love n longing in her eyes fr Hrithik’s character couldn’t be missed! She stole th movie in her small role
Then came #Queen tht everything changed fr #KanganaRanaut! Brilliant role of an under confident woman rejected on her wedding day; who organically becomes this decisive confident strong woman! The movie was brilliantly made wt a strong ensemble! She won her 2nd National Award
#KanganaRanaut won National Award fr #Queen but didn’t win Filmfare award! THATS how much the awards r corrupt! Watch out fr her returning in auto wt “Ranjha” playin, seeing other couples in Paris, drunk dancing on “Hungama ho gaya”, asking English fr “hing” while making panipuri
Next year came th biggest woman centric Bollywood blockbuster #TanuWedsManuReturns! #KanganaRanaut fleshes out this pair of distinct individuals Tanu n Datto with such energy and finesse that it becomes difficult at times to tell that it is the same actress playing the two role!
#KanganaRanaut won her 3rd National Award fr #TanuWedsManuReturns! Watch out fr Datto blasting Tanu; Tanu roaming streets in night drunk trying a short wig; longing in Tanu’s eyes, “Ghani bawari” song! But it was Haryanvi sportswoman Datto who stole th show fr me!
Next ws #KanganaRanaut’s #Manikarnika! Mired wt multiple controversies, film came close to 100cr! I liked it but frankly, I wanted more nuances n subtle ness in the movie; but Kangana commanded the screen with a fiery, arresting presence, never letting your attention wander away
By this time, her political leanings were quite clear! Despite #KanganaRanaut being a RW in approach; never any of th LW leaning film critics looked down upon her performance! Even if flops like Rangoon, Katti Batti, Judgemental Hai Kya; she ws praised UNANIMOUSLY by one n all
#KanganaRanaut’s last release ws #Panga! A lovely movie tht sadly got sandwiched by blockbuster Tanhaji! Watch out fr blasting her hubby after a bad day at office, then crying n making rotis fr her family or her monologue on seeing her newborn baby! This movie deserved 2b a hit!
#KanganaRanaut for felicitated wt #PadmaShri; some say fr being the pro government voice being the reason fr same! But if the herd mentality of her own industry can be anti government n quite vocal; I think her being the lone warrior as pro govt voice is something to root for!
Now fr KJo digs at #KanganaRanaut on KWK!
- When the talented Aamir Khan ws asked by KJo “who u find sexy”; Aamir said “Kangana” (this was pre Queen)! N KJo made that shocked disgusted face n said “really! Kangana?”; n the levelheaded Aamir stuck to his answer “Yes Kangana”

For some1 who couldn’t speak English, a lower middle class family; some1 who ws used n abuses by various old bollywoodias in her starting days; to some1 winning PdmaShri, n who NarendraModi invited in his second swearing in as Prime Minister; #KanganaRanaut has come a long way!
Her bitterness stems frm getting no support frm BW, frm being treated as an outcast during Hrithik fight; frm being mocked OPENLY on awards shows “nepotism rocks! Bole Kangana: Kangana naa hee bole to acha hai; bahot bolti hai wo”! Now #KanganaRanaut COMMANDS national interest
Lastly! #KanganaRanaut did a video song wt AIB; where she spoke abt pay disparity in Bollywood; where she spoke how 50+ old heroes romance 20+ heroines; where she spoke abt gender inequality in Tinseltown; but yeah; she is th “actual villain” n poor KJo n Nepo kids r victims
