(0/8) quick analysis on the cast of bfdi & the subject of kinning. this wont be very elaborate but i did wanna get my thoughts out on it real quick. thread below:
(1/8) so to get straight to it: the characters in this series are Extremely kinnable, so much so that i find it common for people to kin several characters from the show at a time (and sometimes even other object shows !!!) & for a while ive been wondering: why?
(2/8) what is so alluring about this large cast of characters that enables people to attach themselves to them this personally so easily?? there isnt a single other genre of shows that i know of thats capable of welcoming this kind of attachment
(3/8) i think the big thing to note is generally just how absolutely many characters there are, each with a wide range of personalities, traits, behaviours, and relationships. its very much a something for everybody situation i feel like, and as theyre all given relatively--
(4/8) --equal attention, theres absolutely room for any form of attachment to develop. and again, with the wide range of diverse characters, that also leaves plenty room for relation and projection. theres so many characters its easy to see yourself in at least a few of them !!!!
(5/8) and i think in general the whole cast is relatively pleasant ?? none of the characters are necessarily dislikeable (altho that is subjective), and again, seeing as theres so many, its easy to find urself growing attached to characters uve already grown to love !!!!
(6/8) there's also the point that the show was never really Serious. there was never a need for a deep backstory for Any of the characters. much of the characters is left unconfirmed or untold and that gives more room for fans to fill in the gaps, which in-turn--
(7/8) --can lead to people projecting their own traits onto those characters. the show over the years has somehow managed to create and handle such a robust cast pretty damn decently and that in-turn creates a cast that encourages fans to invest themselves in the characters
(8/8) hopefully my points made sense !!! im not good at organizing my thoughts, i just wanted to make a quick analysis on the idea i guess :]
