Equity is essential – we know that children and young people with disability and their families were some of the people most affected by the first #COVID19Aus wave, with significant impacts on mental health and social isolation. 2/4
By learning the lessons from the first wave, prioritising health, and providing the right supports for children and young people with disability when and where they are needed, we can help to mitigate the effects of the second wave in Victoria and the associated lockdown. 3/4
This means providing appropriate curriculum and learning supports promptly for students with disability learning at home, as well as at school. The inclusion of students with disability is as critical now as ever. 4/4
