I'm going to answer this question in a thread because I've never given my views on #Blexit and the Black Conservative Establishment all in one place.

This person is asking why Blexit and #WalkAway are part of the problem when it comes to attracting black folks to our side. https://twitter.com/challenge_bag/status/1282138050815045633
For starters, Blexit can be seen as the avatar of the overall messaging of the Conservative establishment's messaging related to the black community.

The message is that black Americans are mentally enslaved people who vote Democrat because they are on the "Democrat Plantation"
They claim that black people do not support the @GOP because they are essentially too stupid to realize that Dems do not have their best interests at heart.

Black grifters on the right have convinced their audiences that this is the case, even though it's a lie.
Secondly, Conservative Inc, through groups like #Blexit has peddled various stereotypes and myths about the black community.

Some of these myths include:

75% of black children have no father.

Blacks want "free stuff."

Blacks embrace victimhood.
There are plenty more lies that Conservative Inc. tells about the black community, but I'll leave that part here.

The bottom line is that the "Democratic Plantation" trope is a lie. Black don't vote Democrat because they are mentally enslaved.
The truth is that the GOP has refused to engage with black voters like they do with white voters since the late '60s. Conservative leaders and pundits love to talk ABOUT black people, but they don't want to talk TO black people.
Blexit is a group that is ostensibly intended to bring more black folks to the conservative side. Yet, the group does not engage with black communities. It is not involved with black people.

Their events are designed for white conservatives, not black folks.
If you view footage of their events, you will find a small percentage of black folks (usually bussed in from other states) and a large percentage of white attendees.

This is by design.

Their message isn't for black people. It is to fool white conservatives.
They want white conservatives to think that there is some mass exodus of black folks from the Democratic Party.

But there isn't.

And they are satisfied with keeping up the illusion.
