anyone criticizing lebron for not wanting to participate in an empty ass gesture so the league looks good should ask themselves why pre-approved vanilla statements would ever make a difference
one of the messages is literally “listen to us.” the league is directly not doing that by not allowing players to have a say on these messages. same with “see us” and “hear us”
“stand up” is another. you’d think they’d understand how ironic that is after players insisted they shouldn’t have to be the only ones using their platform. putting it on the back of a PLAYER’S UNIFORM while most owners/the league have yet to speak out is missing the entire point
“group economics.” idk i don’t really have a point for this one except to laugh at it again
look at lebron’s school, the fact that he wore i can’t breathe shirts when adam silver said he preferred they stick to pre game warm ups, he called the president a bum, etc. don’t ever say that man is worried about what people think
