For years he and family have been exploiting a local campaign contribution limit loophole by maxing out through their many companies. contributions to local politicians. Most recently they have blocked Measure P for Parks and helped to elect Jerry Dyer mayor. Perea has been working closely with Assemi for 20 years now and is busily positioning another of his grown children for a city council run with /4
developer and police backing. Also, Assemi, remember, announced a few years ago he would be launching a political division, which is what his GVwire website, blog, and “reporter” Wormtail are. When attacking Sandra Celedon or Veva Islas, you’ll see his byline. /5
But read Perea Sr.'s retweet about @AnnalisaPerea (which I topped with my favorite broadcast journalist and for which @jontbath wanted an explanation). No, Annalisa Perea 3.0 is not on the “front line” of police reform. Ridiculous. Quite the opposite. /6
In May she voted for a cop to be vice chair of the police reform commission over community leader Sandra Celedon, then skipped the June Dem Central Committee mtg vote on rejecting police union money and let her alternate do the politically risky work of blocking this needed /7
reform. So the Pereas are working closely with Lee Brand’s and Jerry Dyer’s closest ally, Nefarious Darius (not pictured), our area’s most heavily overpowered sprawlmonger, and they won't cross FPOA. It’s ridiculous for Perea to have stated his daughter is on the front line of /8
police reform. She’s a spectator at best and is more likely to help block real reform because her first loyalty is to her political career as guided by pops, who counsels police endorsements and money, and in her very first vote she reveals herself by supporting FPOA's man. /9
