really like how often they manage to make the scene dressing a small detail throughout all the senses, like, the cat in the foreground is a clock that makes a slight ticking noise for 1 and also is the only other thing in the scene moving asides from the prowler
miles' powers being linked to him being afraid/his general mental state is a tiny detail that does a lot to recontextualize a lot of scenes like during the house fightout it starts flickering on and off when his uncle shows up
now that im thinking about it, great expectations is surprisingly tied deeply in this movie. ge being about a kid who gets great wealth out of chance, his mentor who was good to him and believed in him died, followed by him floundering with his new life.
