If you're mad at Enic because our PLAYERS are in bad form even though we know they're capable of much more, I really hope your actions are to just stop watching spurs and not make the sane among us look like idiots with your planes and banners.
They've transformed this club.
They've transformed this club.
The Enic project was to transform us into a big club slowly over a long period. We've done that. Were at the finish line. Like poch said it's time for a new project at the club. You think Enic will just stop now? If they do it will be through selling which is what you want.
And if they stay, they'll push us to the next level. The purse strings have been tight because we've been growing our status as a club so we can actually compete. What poch did was a happy accident and shouldn't be seen as what's expected every season from then.
They've transformed us as a club and a business and despite what you'll say, we've spent. Sure maybe our scouts didnt get it right, maybe we've been unlucky. That's football. But to think its Enics fault entirely is baffling.
FFP means we can't do a City and buy success, with any owners. All we can do is grow how much money the club makes, to reinvest. We've just started that journey now the stadium is done. They've sorted other events built the training facilities etc.
What happened with liverpool is rare. So rare. If it was easy to emulate, all the rich clubs would do it. You've gotta remember liverpool/utd have huge fanbases and their status means they can spend more. To get there we need to grow our club, which enic have done.
Of course, more money could've been spent and the good work of decades thrown away but I honestly think if you think Enic is the ain problem here, you must just play fifa.
Were missing key players for sure. But we've also got a lot of talented younger players now. The squad of 15/16 couldn't play at that level today. The market got inflated at the worst moment for us and the last 2 years we've had to play elsewhere and had some awful luck.
But I really think the next few years, the market will normalise, clubs will recover from covid and we'll see a spurs spending like those around us. They just need a few more years. We're 9/10ths through a marathon and you're about to shoot the starting pistol in your own face.
