Most of the talk around the 49ers UDFA RBs has been around JaMycal Hasty
However, Salvon Ahmed has the skill set to fill the void should the Niners trade Raheem Mostert and be their latest undrafted RB success story

Nice vision to find the cutback and acceleration to burst back upfield, carries multiple defenders with him for extra yardage
Nice patience on this TD, has the quickness to evade the defender who eventually breaks through the line and the speed to cruise in for six
Ahmed had one of his best game's against Oregon. Another example of his contact balance here on this third-down conversion versus the Ducks
TD on the pitch from Jacob Eason, nice body flexibility to evade the arm tackle from the defender before diving into the endzone
This is the perfect example of why Shanahan will like Ahmed. One cut, burst up to the second level for first-down yardage
Gears down and shows his change-of-direction skills on second down. Ahmed bounces his run to the right and quickly gets up to top gear to move the sticks
Impressive burst through the hole again and nice balance to stay on his feet. This is probably a substantial gain if not for a great angle and tackle from Ashtyn Davis.
Fourth down, two really quick changes of direction, the second taking Davis out of the play as Ahmed has more than enough speed to beat him to the endzone
Ahmed looks sure to be tackled for a loss but slips the defender in the backfield & surges upfield
He's not as fast as Mostert, but Ahmed is elusive and hits the running lanes with impressive burst. He can make something out of nothing & is a great fit for the Shanahan scheme
