Kinda like this #AbandonedArt trend, so here's a thread of various abandoned projects, mostly #pixelart

One of the first projects I attempted serious, about what... 8 years ago or something? (holy shit, that's so long ago) - a game about RPG battles that you control through Puyo Puyo gameplay
Still plan to get back to it, but more on that in future tweets:

Next up, a game that I *really* want to make at some point in my life, about managing a monster den/castle, focusing on doing job interviews; I don't even think I have started coding it, I just have a couple notebooks full of ideas...
... but I found art I forgot existed

The original idea came from a game jam, by the way! You can try it out here, you have to find the best candidates for the jobs you have:

Next is the 2nd iteration of that Puyo Puyo game; restarted from scratch a couple years later, spent most of my time focusing on having a solid code base.
I learned a lot!

Next: my first Devtober game!
I have no idea how I could have thought I'd be able to make most of that game in a month, but I'm still very proud of the ideas; I'd love to go back to it some day, I think the base gameplay ideas were really fun to work with [...]

[...] it played on crafting your own potions, to deal damage or do a wide variety of effect, and the type of bottle would dictate the behavior (throwing at an arc, horizontally, rolling on the ground, or using on yourself)

Next up is the iteration 2.5 on that Puyo game. I *will* make that game some day, it's constantly on the back of my brain.
With the 3rd and latest iteration I... rewrote everything again. It's much more modular now I guess...
I started with that first iteration almost a decade ago with me wanting to make a game my mom could play, and now it's like... I *need* to make it

And finally, to close this, here's my last Devtober project, which I kept working on for months;
Haven't touched it in a while, what with the world being on fire and all...
... but I don't consider it abandoned!
It's a game about taking pictures of cats
