Obama holds the record for the largest single-day use of the clemency power, granting 330 on January 19, 2017, his last day in office. He also issued more commutations than the past 13 presidents combined. 1,927 were granted clemency in total.

Here’s just a few:
This one might sound familiar to a recent pardon by Trump:

James Cartwright was awaiting sentencing for giving false statements to federal investigators in 2016. He had been scheduled to be sentenced on January 31, 2017, but was pardoned by Obama on January 17, 2017.
Chelsea Manning, former US Army soldier who was convicted in July 2013 of violations of the Espionage Act and other offenses, after stealing and leaking almost 750,000 classified documents to WikiLeaks. Sentence commuted by Obama on January 17, 2017.
Oscar López Rivera, leader of FALN, a Marxist terrorist organization that carried out more than 130 bomb attacks in the US between 1974 and 1983. Sentence commuted by Obama on January 17, 2017.
Was Stone convicted by a jury of his peers? Yes.

Did he lie to investigators? Yes

Should Trump have waited until January to pardon him? Absolutely.

For the record, I’m no fan of Stone. I find him to be a repugnant bottom dwelling kook.
But here’s the rub, those who are completely losing their mind about Trump pardoning Stone, have not one thing to say about Obama pardoning Cartwright for giving false statements to investigators a few days before he was due to be sentenced.
Obama’s pardoning of a treasonous
Manning was actually lauded by blue check literati, having absolutely no care that Manning put the lives of service members in danger.
Perhaps the most disgusting pardon by Obama was that of FALN terrorist Oscar López Rivera. The man ran a bomb factory on US soil, and is responsible for numerous deaths, yet barely a peep from the partisan masses.
So, please, spare me your indignation about Stone.
