As you may know, "Sorry Not Sorry" was written by Demi, Oak Felder, Sean Douglas, Trevor Brown and Zaire Kolao.

Demi wanted to have a soulful vibe. Oak thought it was a natural fit because her voice is "fantastic". But he didn't know anything else, he had "no idea about what to expect before she walked through the door".

Demi played Oak her material and then they started from zero with the core progression he had in mind.
