I’ve been getting a lot of DMs asking me how new accounts can grow on Twitter. Here’s my advice:
1. Follow a ton of accounts from the jump. Start getting familiar with the types of content that people are putting out, and some accounts will follow back especially if you have 1/?

Something that interests them in your bio and pinned tweet.
2. Authenticity is key. I can’t tell you how many CARTOON CHARACTER KNOWS RAP accounts I’ve seen and none of them work. Shrek is one of a kind, don’t try to copy him lol. Get yourself a unique handle and avi.

3. One way that works for some people is to comment on big accounts like shrek and debating. You need to be one of the first and you need to get likes to get noticed on those posts. It might be a good idea to turn on notifs for those type of accounts.

People as possible. Make friends, join gcs, start to build a community.
5. Find posts that work. I’ve done reviews, videos, poll questions that have sparked interactions and gotten me followers and have sometimes found a way to repeat success. Sometimes I haven’t. It’s 4/?

Trial and error.
6. Post at the right times. The sweet spot I’ve personally found is between 11am-2pm PST. That way you get PST, EST, and Europe users all awake at the same time.

And follow and interact with those accounts. Say something like “I love x artist! You just earned a follow” and if they’re cool they’ll follow back. You can make one of those posts too, but I’ve seen them flop. I’ve tried a couple times to mixed results.

8. Last but not least, and maybe my most important piece of advice, but BE YOURSELF! Posting “what are you listening to?” 6 times a day is going to get you nowhere. Show your personality, give people a reason why you are worth their time. 7/?
Hope this was helpful to some smaller accounts. Meanwhile, I’m going to be trying to find new ways to grow too. My goal is to hit 10k eventually, which might not ever happen, but I’m going to try.
