Today marks the first weekend as an empty nester. So far it feels like Nina is just gone traveling to yet another volleyball tournament.

2) The house has never been this clean all at once for this long. Ever.
3) It’s eerily quiet.
4) I don’t sleep lightly subconsciously waiting for the door chime to assure me whomever is out got back home OK

4) A loaf of bread lasts a really long fucking time for two people and will go bad before we can finish. (Who makes half loaves?)
5) It will take two weeks now for the dishwasher to get full as opposed to two days.

8) There aren’t random shoes in the hallway, by the door or left by the steps to bring up later but never do (oddly I miss this).

quite possibly may never be full again. This is now the “beverage fridge”.
Conclusion: It’s been very weird to go from three kids to zero in 6 weeks time. Startling almost under worrisome conditions but here we are. 5/5
