PLC-181 uses Taian GM's 6X6 truck chassis which has oil and gas suspension for better off-road capability,It`s 52cal barrel is made through electro-flux remelting process,It has semi auto loader.

Truck is fitted with a digital FCS, PS and digital BMS.

In this clip we see PLAGF`s PCL-181 operating at Tibet,PLAGF previous 122mm SPGH, but compared with the M777,FH-77 & Dhanush,not only limited in caliber but also short in range,hence the emergence of China's PLC-181 to make up for these shortcomings

PCL-181 6x6 wheeled SPH weighs 25 tons & can accommodate six crew inside,It can go where most PLAGF tracked SPGH cannot go due to weight restriction on highway & bridges

It can be transported via railway or Y9 & Y20 transport aircraft.

In this clip we can see PCL-181 has semi-auto loader,the labor of loading is mostly remains manual due to which it has only 6rnd per min rate of fire

It`s also seen it does not use Bi-Modular Charge System which is common in Indian and other Armies.

PLAGF`s PCL-181 sports a variety of 155mm special purpose shells, here we see 155mm Laser guided shell fired from SPGH, guided via observer so does UAV

Here`s another 155mm special purpose rnd, where we can see Chinese version of Bofors 'bonus' rnds, these shells disperse smart ammunition over an area where tanks are operating which then kill tanks from above

Special purpose Satellite guided ammunition :

WS-35, P-155 is a Satellite-guided, long-range 155mm rocket assisted projectile,range of this shell is 70-100kms,It utilizes Beidou GNSS, INS to achieve a Circular Error Probable (CEP) of 40 meters
