And yes, I always marvel that the NBA perpetually takes woke stances but the owner of the Detroit Pistons owns the private equity firm behind one of two prison phones companies that exploit the most vulnerable people in America. And little is ever said about this.

Securus is a full-service prison communications company. Its subsidiary JPay forces prisoners to buy a stamp to send email:

They've gotten states to ban greeting cards (could be contraband) so those emails would be the only form of allowable written communication:
