So, here's something I need to say.
I know there's a great many folks who are starting to appreciate how problematic the NuRav site is & the attitudes towards disabled folk who are trying to get their voices heard & needs met.

In the beginning, however, disabled folk were written off as entitled or Rav bashers, troublemakers - myself included. It wasn't until the abled folk started to realise the full extent of it that opinions started to change & some folks started to listen.
The reason for that is that the abled folk didn't see the ableism & harm that was being caused.
You didn't believe the accounts of migraines, seizures & more.
Diabled folk saw the signs cos they've lived them. We're used to not being listened too, used to being dismissed.

I'd hazard a guess that it wasn't till the Epilepsy Society publicly warned about the site or until the many accessibility UX specialists started to list the issues that many folk started to listen.
It certainly wasn't when disabled folk started to explain.

I'm glad more folk are listening & trying to understand the issues, that less folk are telling us to be patient or stop being so angry.
But honestly, it should never have come to this.
We're causing ourselves more harm just to get folk to listen to us & believe what we say.

You really need to start listening to disabled people and believe what you're told.
