Ladies & gentlemen, carefully look at this Federal Unity Schools cut off marks for 2020. You'll weep for Nigeria.

Nigerians must rise up & silence this evil before it's too late.

A thread 🧵

@segalink @OgbeniDipo
There are 104 unity schools across Nigeria & they take the same Commonwealth Entrance exam.

Yet, A child from Anambra with #138marks is thrown out. But his counterpart with #2marks ("2", I mean "TWO" marks) from Yobe, will get admission into any unity school of their choice.
For an objective exam that is marked over 200, his on earth will someone sit for that exam & not score at least 2?

That's like saying there's NO ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AT ALL for kids from certain states, while others will sweat & toil & won't still get admission at last.
Tomorrow, the child who entered Unity Schools with 2, 3 or 4 marks will become the head of government & government ministries.

The one who studied so hard to score139 marks will work under the dullard (if they're ever given the job in the first place!)
Is this how we celebrate mediocrity in Nigeria in the name of Federal Character or Quota System?

Tell me, how can Nigeria develop under this condition?
The Unity Schools 2020 cutoff marks is evil.

It's evil because it suggests that Hard work does not pay at all!
That burning late night candles to study hard is absolute nonsense!
After 50 years of Independence, the government of the so called "disadvantaged region" have done little to nothing to address the situation.

If you continue to spoon-feed your child & expect them to grow, mature & become self-sufficient, you are of all men most foolish!
Look at the political structure of Nigeria today.

Look at all the appointments made by Buhari so far, over 90% from this same "disadvantaged region". Look at where the country is today.
Is this how we want to train & empower the generation that will pay off the mounting trillions of our national dept?

Is this how much we want to celebrate mediocrity in Nigeria in the name of Quota System?

For how long will this continue?
Nobody is saying there should be the same cut off marks across board.

But how on earth is "2 over 200" a pass mark in one State of the country, while "138 over 200" is failure in another State of that same country?

THIS IS EVIL!
