3. Gershwin wanted to be a classical music composer. However, he wanted to combine it with energetic American folk music. In 1924 he published the Blue Rhapsody.

This song began the band of Gershwin's successes.
4.He wrote musicals, including Lady Be Good with her brother Ira, as well as other songs. In 1928, George had a great European tour. Then, in Vienna, he composed the American symphonic poem in Paris.

At 38, he began to feel dizzy in June. On July 9 he fell into a coma.
Studies have shown an advanced brain tumor. An immediate operation was carried out, but the composer never regained consciousness. He died on July 11, 1937.

He was buried in the family chapel at Westchester Hills Cemetery in New York.
