My Overnight Success:
I was decluttering some draws this morning, and found an old work timesheet from my uni days in Cambridge.
This timesheet shows the number of work hours I put in EVERY SINGLE WEEK during the holidays. I averaged 75hrs of work every week.
I had no Christmases. No birthdays. No drunk nights. Not dating. Not getting laid. Just pure HARDCORE grind and focus every single day (or night), and SAVING 90% of my pay. At one point, I had five figures saved up in pounds, but yet ate 50p custard cream biscuits for weeks.
I would usually wait till new year sales to buy some ÂŁ5 tops from Zara Cambridge City Centre, because I couldn't allow myself to spend more.
I did all of that because I wanted more out of life, and so I bet 100% on myself and my God.
I put in the hours and saved like crazy, so that I could start a business after my MBA program. AND I DID. Today, I own a profitable business, and my amazing team create immeasurable value for clients.
So, I encourage you to bet on yourself. Because a few years of intense smart hardwork can set you up for life.
Don't hope on any man or institution to give you start-up capital.
When you put all your trust and hopes in yourself and your God (whatever God means to you), the universe will MOVE on your behalf. It will bring to you the opportunities you seek, and the strength you need to utilize them. For you need strength to labour for what you pray for.
If no one will sponsor you, do everything under the law to sponsor yourself.
So, to everyone that has judged me and gossiped about how my success was handed to me, I hope this timesheet has shown you my 'overnight success'.
I hope you can see my 'luck'. I hope you can see my 'sponsors' and 'handouts'. I hope you can finally see the pain, that paved way to my gain!
