. Today exists because of you, I and so many others. The world population is estimated to be around 7.8 billion as of June, 2020 with Nigeria approximately having a current population of 206 million and counting

The population growth rate of Nigeria is a ticking time bomb that needs to be addressed as it causes brain drain, increase in high cost of living, unemployment, depletion of natural resources, degradation of the government, habitat warming, global loss e.t.c. #WPDNG2020

Current global gender ratio (the natural gender) is 105 boys to 100 girls. This means that contrary to popular beliefs, more boys are born than girls (even in Nigeria). The population growth rate can be tackled through women knowing and having access to SRHR services #YSMANG

The literacy rate still needs to be improved for women and young girls. Only 59.3% of young girls are literate. That's slightly over half... Appreciation to the government and NGOs ensuring that this movement is achieved but more needs to be done #YSMANG #WDP2020

Unless issues like child marriage, family planning and SRHR are embraced,population growth will keep increasing at an alarming rate. This is why there's need for constant education and promotion of family planning, girl child education and ending child marriage #YSMANG #WPDNG2020
