Ted Cruz’s grandparents, by his estimates, ate beans over 65,000 times. I can’t stop thinking about it. https://twitter.com/od33j4yo/status/1281749454283067392
After extensive research, I’ve concluded that each of Ted Cruz’s grandparents ate just under 15,000,000 beans a piece.
According to an article in The Sun:
There are between 350 and 450 beans per can of beans
At twice per day, assuming they split a can of beans each meal, that would be a can a piece per day.
350 beans x 365 days = 127,750 beans a year.
Over 90 yrs that’s 11,497,500 beans

This doesn’t include leap years of which there are 22 in 90 years.
That’s another 7,700 beans for a total of 11,505,200
And that’s a low estimate if they were being skimped on beans.

Ignoring family size cans of beans, the 450 number x 365 days is 164,250 a year
Over 90 years that’s 14,782,500 plus the 22 leap days of 9,900 for a grand total
14,792,400 beans
