I applied to the restaurant across the street from my house in PH for 2 years, pretty much every month.

The last time. I used my middle name as my last name on my resume.

Got an interview and got hired on.
After I was left go for being sick, I was told by a coworker that the manager didn’t want me hired because I was Native.

Racism in Cape Breton:

Was told that I was bullying the staff at NSCC because I called them incompetent and complicit in defending that teacher.
Racism in Nova Scotia:

At #NSCC I was the only Indigenous student in my program. I was passed over the Mi’kmaq bursary that was allotted for a Marine student.

It was given to a guy in my class. He claimed to be Eastern Métis and was awarded the bursary.
