There are so many reasons to #GoToCollege this year, even if you thought it wasn't financially possible before.
1. You will likely save $ on room & board
2. You will likely save $ on meal plans
3. You will likely save $ on travel & gas money
4. You will DEFINITELY save $ on "opportunity cost."(opportunity cost is what you give up to get something)
5. What else are you going to do in this crappy job market? I hate to tell you, but #MaskUp is going to be everywhere, not just #Colleges...

6. Your future professors are working tirelessly to make all types of learning (online, hybrid, etc.) engaging and rewarding.
7. You will have 4 years to study and figure out how to save the world (from #COVID19 or some other terrible thing). Enter optimistic #LiberalArts plug here.
8. By the time you graduate, things could be looking up (no promises on that, but if more people go to college it could tip things in a positive direction), and you would be fresh and ready to go for that job market (or grad school).
9. You will get to #bragplain (brag/complain) for the rest of your life about how you had to start college during the pandemic. Ugh! What a pain! We had to use Zoom and wear masks and we couldn't even party! Do you realize the story potential this #AcademicYear has? A ton!
College is set to be more #affordable and #accessible than it has been in a long time. I'd say that the two biggest contributors to this are the reduced opportunity cost and the potentially *eliminated* room & board costs. Take advantage.
Yes, parts of it will suck. The first year will absolutely not be the #TypicalCollegeExperience." But, who cares? It will involve a lot more life lessons, technology lessons, and learning to cope. These are all great things to get good at, early.
p.s. Don't go to any college that has an unsafe or incomplete opening plan in the context of the pandemic, and don't go to a for-profit college.
