Our county commissioners have decided to vote on a mask mandate, in a county where you have a .32% infection rate. Here is my email to them, and forwarded to @GovRonDeSantis GovRonDeSantis and @potus

Study on 1607 health care workers over 14 hospitals, concluding the bacterial infection risk outweighs the perceived benefit of inhibiting viral transmission. Conclusion? DO NOT RECOMMEND cloth or paper masks.
The data for Charlotte County, Florida as of June 23...shows there is a .32% infection rate in the county. Not even a 1/2 a percent chance of getting infected. There are more elderly people in this county than anywhere in the country.
If you decide to impose an unconstitutional restriction on myself or family, I hope you are prepared to to handle the legal consequences of your actions. I for one will not be wearing a mask that is proven to do more harm than good.
What doctors are saying.. take a look https://twitter.com/drdavidsamadi/status/1281333767739781122?s=21
Surgical masks were made to be used in a sterile environment. They do not stop the spread of Covid19 (the box clearly says so) N-95 masks were made to be used in a contaminated environment, and only protect the one wearing it, but do not stop the germs exhaled from being spread.
So in closing, I hope you will take the time to read the medical materials I have sent you, before endangering the lives of all Charlotte county citizens.

Sincerely,

An educated citizen
