Our culture continues to believe more and more that sexual expression is a bodily function necessary for survival.

Porn has become a need rather than a predilection.
Not having sexual expression is weird/unhealthy if you're not asexual.

We praise the quest for sex of people who don't normally get it.
We think that sex work is necessary for a functioning society.
When the sex doesn't work anymore it is grounds to quit a relationship.
Youth group kids don't want Jesus to come back until they have had sex.

Churches say that you should get married because "the sex is better in marriage" and marriage is almost synonymous with sex for young Christians.

Sex becomes so integral to everything that if you want a relationship without sex you have to give it a new "queer" title.

The church has eaten up the idea that we need sex, our culture is increasingly consumed by sex. We have apps that devalue human beings into the cheap currency of sex. We objectify and selfishly use images of God.

In this way I am convinced that Celibate gay Christians (& celibate Xtians in general) are a witness to a greater and more valuable reality with Christ
I'm sexually attracted to men, I get aroused, & yet I understand that my present physiological desires do not dictate my telos

I want to mention that as a result of all this, asexual people are led to believe they are especially disordered within the church. Outside of the church they are often considered invalid or pushed away from pursuing certain relationships.

Another addendum, "incels" are a class of people who have created their entire angry identity around their inability to have sex. They are consumed by their lack of sex because they have been fed a lie that they need it. This comes out through harmful actions and communities
