After the Governor stated Thursday that she will advise against UNM or NMSU playing football in the fall, this is what I got from their office today
"The state doesn't have the administrative power to restrict NCAA athletics, but the governor's office and administration will be making it very clear to the administrators and governing boards of those institutions that we expect them to make the right decisions"
The NMSU response was likewise vague despite testing procedures in place, at least in the offseason.

"Should any adjustments to our plans for fall sports become necessary, we will make sure to communicate those changes to our Aggie community."
