My parents have been in an open relationship for like 5-7 years and it literally saved their marriage. What works for one relationship may not work for another.

Thinks is normal, doesn’t mean you have to conform to it. I praise my parents for being able to save their marriage and figure something out that works for THEM. They both knew they didn’t want a divorce so they started thinking about their options and figured it out.
