THREAD: The dilemma Athiests and Wiccans face when confronted with the true nature of Paganism
1.A lot of Athiests become interested in paganism due to the feeling of emptiness that not having a god brings. I don’t think they realize that this is the reason, and often times they associate paganism with satanism, which of course they have nothing to do with one another.
2. But the athiest seeks only to rebel against their Christian parents so they buy a pentagram neckless and draw a 666 on their notebook. The majority of these new age Wiccan types therefore are Christians rebelling against Christianity and their family.
3.Every now and then one of these so called “pagans” will actually read some of the primary sources such as the Vedas or Eddas and receive a shock to the system. Their preconceived notion that paganism was about submissively worshipping The earth gets blown out of the water.
4.They might realize at that moment that paganism requires them to actually put effort into becoming a better person, that these traditions are not about hating a man in the sky, but in fact place extensive value on strength and the patriarchal elements of the Sky father.
http://5.At  this point the “Wiccan” is faced with a choice. Do they face the fact that they are weak and give up on paganism as a whole and go back to worshipping Quarks & Leptons? Or do they accept the power of the gods and recognize the true realm of the spirit?
6.This denial that they have for the simple concept of “survival of the fittest” is what keeps them from accepting that they have to engage. If they let go of this denial then almost over night they will start to see the raw beauty of nature.
7.They no longer see a muscular man as some “douche bag bro” but instead accept the beauty of strength. If they choose this path, they in turn will begin to strive towards that same beauty, that quest for glory and perfection of the self.
8. Maybe one day in the future they too will spend a few hours at the gym and return home to sun the balls, meditate, and eat a steak with an egg and OJ shake. The gods want you to be strong, not weak. It’s all there in the ancient sources, don’t try to deny beauty and strength.
