This is a Lara Ravel appreciation thread.

God, I love Lara so much. She is so kind and altruistic! She tries to do good in a time where it is incredibly difficult and her looking out directly on other people and establishing a shelter to be homeless shows how she cares specifically about people who are overlooked.

I also love how she doesn't take shit. She is strikt but also strikt towards herself and I respect both. It shows that kindness and endeavoring to do something selfless in a time of great need might be doomed, but it sure as hell isn't weakness because she knows what she's doing.

Her strictness also make her interactions really interesting. She is a great friend exactly because she is establishing boundaries and saying what she wants. She can be passive aggressive but that only adds flavor and edges to a great character!

Both the shelter-quest in P1 and the waterbarell-quest in P2 are so iconic! The way they are hopeless yet still motivate you to do good is so important to the game.

Also can we pour one out for her having some of my favorite voicelines?
"Who knocks on your door at night. Who screams down your chimney. A wight? No. Just the wind." Is just... God...
(And I know Vlad Jr. has that one too. But fuck Vlad Jr! Lara is delivering it better anyways)

The way her underlying Grief is written is so nice. The melancholy and anger that surround her add so many layers and atmosphere and makes her so multifaceted. She isn't perfect and she isn't even happy, but she tries to do her best and that makes her even more compelling.

Also I love her agency. She is actively establishing help systems and tries to find ways to do that on her own - even if you don't help her. But she also acts out to kill Block. We love characters who don't need a protagonist to do their shit!
