If I have to hear kids have a lower infection rate so we should go back to school argument I’m going to pop. You send those kids back it will kill them, it will kill us. Okay fine kids don’t get as affected but you are ramping up the chances of them becoming infected cont.
The more you have them in one room for more time. I teach high schoolers so on top of that some right now are literally paying their parents mortgages/rent because their parents were laid off or they’re babysitting their siblings/cousins so fine the kids aren’t sick cont.
But they run the risk of becoming carriers and creating more carriers. And then the teachers...well there are A LOT of older teachers who will be at risk hell even the younger teachers because half the classrooms have almost no ventilation. My school went on lockdown cont.
Because of a manhunt in the area we weren’t allowed to unlock our doors and the temp SKYROCKETED and kids were uncomfortable. I have no windows or anything we were In a cinderblock Cube. Kids nicknamed my room the bunker. Having us back cont.
Is a breeding ground for the disease. But I darent say it to folks who want us back because they don’t care they won’t listen. I already have to have a “warriors heart” to throw myself onto a shooter’s gun and build barriers to defend us cont.
Those in power run a death cult that sees my students, myself, and colleagues as necessary noble sacrifices for their greed.
