I still see people saying Phillip Cocu isn’t the right man for the job. Here is a thread of everything the club, the fans and especially the manager have been through since he arrived... you decide if he’s the right man or not...

04/07/19 - After months of speculation, Frank Lampard and Jody Morris leave them club for their dream club Chelsea. With the season starting in little over a month, the team would have a short time to gel with the new manager.
04/07/19 - Phillip Cocu is named as the new Derby County manager out of absolutely no where. Previously linked with Gary Monk and the Crowley brothers. This, on paper, was an amazing appointment.
01/08/19 - Richard Keogh is named as Derby County’s first club captain for the season.
06/08/19 - The day after a 1-2 away win at Huddersfield, England all time top goal scorer Wayne Rooney agrees a pre contract deal to join the rams from D.C United. From this point onwards derby fans chant his name for the rest of the season.
06/08/19 - The Wayne Rooney deal is announced to be funded by our shirt sponsor 32RED, who also sponsor 3 other championship clubs. Mel Morris uses technicalities to avoid an FFP breach, which inevitably boils the piss of Steve Gibson, much to everyone’s delight.
20/09/20 - A club statement is released following the news that Mel Morris sold Pride Park to himself, and the club could be under investigation by the EFL. Again, Mel Morris denies breaching the rules. The Loophole King.

05/10/20 - Tom Huddlestone is out with a long term injury, which was caused whilst scoring a penalty away at Barnsley. It would go on to be his last game and last goal for the club.
15/10/20 - Tom Lawrence and Mason Bennett are sentenced in court to 180 hours unpaid work, a 12 month community order and are both banned from driving for 2 years.
30/10/20 - After turning down an offer to dock his wages to stay at the club, Richard Keogh is sacked for gross misconduct. He has since appealed this dismissal.
02/12/20 - Mel Morris announces he is close to agreeing a financial investment deal ahead of the January transfer window, which should’ve been completed before the end of December. We are still waiting for this to come to fruition.
01/01/20 - Wayne Rooney officially joins as a player coach on an 18 month contract. The following day he is named as the clubs 4th captain.

13/03/20 - Football is postponed due to COVID-19.
06/05/20 - Mason Bennett posts a video of himself saying “fucking burn” as he drives past Pride Park Stadium. He explained it was an inside joke to his mate, not a statement towards the club.
20/06/20 - FOOTBALL RETURNS. A win away at Millwall kick starts a play off push for the rams.
28/06/20 - Andre Wisdom is stabbed in Liverpool after visiting his family. He drives to hospital himself. Money is raised for a giant flag showing our solidarity with him, a tremendous effort by everyone involved.
02/07/20 - Henry Gabay, CEO of Duet Group, who was in talks with Mel Morris over possible investment, is arrested in relation to a tax scandal.
10/07/20 - It is announced Henry Gabay lent £81 million pounds to Mel Morris to help him purchase Pride Park Stadium. It has since been announced that this debt has almost been fully paid.
Phillip Cocu has had many hurdles to overcome this season, ones which has he dealt with showing his class and style, on and off the pitch. We now sit 4 points off the play offs with 4 games to go. An amazing achievement by all accounts.
