Let’s start by saying I think everyone should set up their google analytics.
1. Google analytics can let you know exactly where the traffic from your website is coming from.
2 Analytics can show you your users behavior. Are they new or returning users? How frequent are they there? Engagement? How long is their sessions? Wouldn’t it be god to know who your users are? What could be improved?
3. Want to know the age of your users? You can use demographics to show their age range. Knowing age groups helps know exactly what ages you mainly target. (Ex: recently a lipgloss business added analytics to their site & learned most of the people buying their products are-
High school and college girls who range from ages 18-24 are the higher percentage of users at 37.41% ) you can even add segments 
4. What type of technology are your users on?
This tech reports will show you what browsers & network your users are using. Along with if their new users, sessions, & bounce rate. I recently set up analytics for someone & they were shocked that their most of their users use FF.
