Henry Kissinger, I believe, is an overrated guy.
He knew how to use China against Russia. But never told us how to maintain US hegemony after China rises. His secret visit to China helped USA for 25 years only.

Kissinger also knew the importance of Oil for USA but never told us that every valuable resource becomes less valuable with time. His Middle East policy again worked for 25 years only. 9/11 changed and advent of Shale changed this.

So how come people recognise him as the biggest Geopolitical leader of 20th century. Shouldn't hegemons think beyond 25 years? Maybe for 70-80 years.
I think he had FORESIGHT, but not VISION.

USA today stands at crossroads in this Geopolitical environment where it requires two things:
A. Containing China
B. "Data", the new Crude Oil
Addressing both A and B will propel them towards to India. The US technology companies are doing their bit to address B.

But I don't think they are doing enough to address point A.
Asking India to join Quad or Indopacific is not going to work. The "TERMS OF TRADE" have changed in 15-20 years.
They will have to think about this relationship comprehensively!
